Thermal transfer rollers of the Wax/Resin type are an intermediate option between the Wax and Resin types. The Wax/Resin type thermal transfer roller coloring layer contains a greater percentage of resin additives than the Wax type coloring layer.
Technical characteristics
Using a Wax/Resin roller requires more energy to print than Wax rollers. The optimal result is achieved with high heating of the thermal head and low printing speed. The advantage of using this type of tape is that it has a more durable image: higher resistance to lubrication and abrasion, as well as resistance to some chemicals. The most common materials on which an image is applied using a Wax/Resin roller: coated paper, synthetic paper, matte film.

При использовании ролика типа Wax /Resin требуется больше энергозатрат для печати, чем для роликов типа Wax. Оптимальный результат достигается при высоком нагреве термоголовки и низкой скорости печати. Преимущество использования данного типа ленты в том, что имеет более стойкое изображение: более высокая стойкость к смазыванию и истиранию, также стойкость к некоторым химикатам. Самые распространенные материалы, на которые наносится изображение с помощью ролика типа Wax/Resin: бумага с покрытием, синтетическая бумага, матовая пленка.
